AFCEA-LA SSC Scholarship Application

The AFCEA Los Angeles Chapter is sponsoring a scholarship for Active Duty, Reserve, and Guard personnel associated with Los Angeles Air Force Base.  Scholarships will be presented at the annual AFCEA Scholarship Awards Luncheon.

Deadline to submit this form and ALL information below is COB 9 August 2024

To qualify you must meet the following requirements:

1. Open to Los Angeles Air Force Base Military Personnel.

2. You must be enrolled in a bachelors, masters, associate, or certificate program with technical/technical management emphasis.  This includes but is not limited to:  Communications, Computer Science, Info Assurance, Engineering, Mathematics, or Electronics-Related Science.

Selection will be based on the following criteria:

  1. Financial need
  2. Service and leadership potential within your military career field

The number of scholarships and amounts for each year will be based on the availability of AFCEA-LA funds IAW SMC-AFCEA MOU dated 20 Jul 2017.

Your application will not be complete until we receive additional information.

  1. A transcript (if in progress) or proof of enrollment/acceptance (if first term)
  2. Letter of Recommendation from your Commander/Supervisor ( O-4 Level for Officers, E-6 Level for Enlisted) Please address it to the ‘AFCEA Los Angeles Chapter Scholarship Board’.
  3. A standard Air Force resume no longer than 2 pages.  Include volunteer/community activities with dates, and duty history.
