WELCOME

AFCEA, and the General Bernard A. Schriever Chapter of the Air Force Association (AFA), and the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) Greater Los Angeles Chapter, and the Southern California Aerospace Professional Representatives (SCAPR) are proud to announce Space Industry Days at the Los Angeles (LAX) Marriott, CA October 16 – 17, 2019.

Space Industry Days provides industry an opportunity to receive presentations from United States Air Force and Space (USAF) and Missile Systems Center (SMC) senior leadership on current and emerging opportunities. The conference will focus on the future of military space. USAF Senior Leaders and SMC program offices will share their plans for the next five years and panels of industry representatives will provide their perspective on challenges they are facing as they develop aerospace solutions.

The event will provide an environment for participating attendees from both the government and commercial sectors to interact on the issues important to the SMC mission. The feedback generated from the Space Industry Day will help inform government and industry alike as they work though the major issues challenging the future of the nation’s space capability.

The first day will kick off with a welcome and comments by SMC/CC Lt Gen Thompson, followed by multiple senior leader presentations and industry panels and will be capped off with a reception at the Marriott. The second day will also include a full day’s agenda of government and industry presentations and is planned to conclude by 4 p.m.

We will provide all briefings that are cleared for public release on our website following the event.

Speakers will be available for discussions immediately after their respective briefings in a breakout room subject to speaker’s availability.

EXHIBIT TABLES

In addition to the Industry Days agenda, contractors will be able to exhibit their products and services on display tables in a break-out room open to all Space Industry Days Participants.  Displays will be available to view from 10:00a.m. – 4:00p.m. on October 16 and 17. Exhibitors: you may install your table starting at 5PM on the 15th. Additionally, you may continue to exhibit from your table through the reception the first night since the food and drinks will be in the same room – a good networking opportunity.

The Hotel has internet and other audio-visual options which the exhibitor may select and the specific offerings and prices are included in the Exhibitor Rental Order Form attached below. These fees will be between the exhibitor and the hotel directly and the arrangements must be made two weeks in advance of the conference.

We feel it is important to inform you of a few rules and regulations that will assist you during set-up and tear down of your exhibit. They are as follows:

1)   The Hotel has a very limited amount of storage space. Please see Shipping/Receiving prices listed on the attachment to account for any shipping needs you may have.

2)   On the set-up day for the show, the Hotel will have a specified loading area, which is the lower loading dock (access on 98th street).  You may utilize the services of a bell person at the front of the hotel as well; however, large trucks will not be permitted on our upper ramp.

3)  Under no circumstances will the lower driveway (located in front of the ballrooms) be used for loading or unloading.  Due to heightened security measures, this area is off limits.

How many exhibitors may attend the table? No limit on number of exhibitors per table. They do not have to pay the conference fees. However, they will not be able to access conference presentations or the refreshments/meals.

What security level will the presentations be at? They will all be unclassified and releasable. The goal is to post all of the presentations on the web site.
