AFCEA LA Chapter In-Person Event

Please join us on 21 July to hear about SSC’s Small Business Office!.  Mr. Aaron Parra Jr, Director of Small Business Programs, will be prepared to speak for about 20 minutes and then take questions.

This is an in-person event in the Gordon Conference Center (GCC). Enter the building near The South Bay Grill and turn right once inside to enter the GCC.  Check in for the luncheon to get your table assignment and proceed into the room!  The event starts at 11:30am on 21 July with networking.  We will have opening remarks around 11:45am followed by lunch.  The guest speaker’s remarks will start around 12:15, and we’ll conclude Q&A around 1:00pm.

Cost is:  $35 for members and $45 for non-members

Register by 13 July!

While we will do everything we can to get you access to base if you provide the requested information by 13 July, things happen.  *If you do not have base access, be sure to bring your Real ID or passport with you and arrive a little early in case you need to go through the Visitor Control Center.*

Mr. Parra is the Director of Small Business Programs for US Space Force, Space Systems Command (SSC) located at Los Angeles AFB. In his role, he oversees the small business offices at LA AFB, Vandenberg SFB, and Patrick SFB with the goal of maximizing small business opportunities at the prime and subcontracting level. His goal is to foster small business competition within SSC’s $11B procurement portfolio to deliver the most innovative, agile solutions to our nation’s warfighter and to expand our defense industrial base.
