Colonel Fred Kennedy is the Division Chief for the Satellite Production Division, Remote Sensing Systems Directorate at Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles AFB, CA. Col Kennedy directly oversees the production and execution of the nation’s next-generation space-based infrared system for 24/7 global surveillance. His Division builds and deploys 4 Space-Based Infrared System (SBIRS) geostationary (GEO) satellites, 2 highly elliptical orbit (HEO) payloads, 1 Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP) weather satellite, and the Wide Field of View (WFOV) Test-bed satellite . The Division manages over $7B of production and development contracts.

Dress code is Business / Uniform of the Day.
