Mr. Thomas “Tav” Taverney is a Senior Vice President with Leidos. During his career he has been a true citizen soldier, serving both the Air Force and the civilian aerospace industry and is considered one of our space pioneers.
In his reserve career he achieved the rank of Major General.  During Enduring Freedom and Noble Eagle, General Taverney was recalled to active duty to support “Assured Access to Space,” providing space launch and range operations support to our warfighters. In March 2006, General Taverney was again called to active duty as the Vice Commander of Air Force Space Command.
Mr. Taverney has experience in the arenas of Space Systems development and acquisition, Software development, real-Time On-Orbit satellite operations, warfighting/AOC operations, launch, and Program Management of Military and Civil Space systems development.  In general management Mr. Taverney has been a company President, a COO, a General Manager, a chief scientist, and chief engineer.
Mr. Taverney will focus his presentation on future space programs based on his extensive space knowledge and first hand experiences.

Dress code is Business / Uniform of the Day.
