We will refund all payments for this event

Mr. Tom Becht is the Portfolio Architect Director of Capability Integration, Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base, California.  He is responsible for spearheading activities to design a space enterprise architecture to enable SMC capability integration teams to design, rapidly acquire, and integrate weapon systems needed to support today’s fight and the battlefield of tomorrow

Prior Reservation/RSVP is required.

If you do NOT have access to LAAFB:
Strict registration cutoff is 10AM on Monday, Mar 16, 2020.  Please register ASAP. Ensure you register with the exact name on your Driver’s License.
Security measures will require additional information upon registration.  (Date of Birth, Driver’s License number, State of driver’s license issue, and citizenship).

Please be aware that the Los Angeles Air Force Base will not let you enter if your driver license has the “Federal Limits Apply” marking in the top right hand corner. A passport is acceptable if you have this marking on your driver license. Note: If you have a Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) area badge, government Common Access Card (CAC), or military ID card (active duty or retired) you are able to access the base with these.

As of January 22, 2018, CA offered the “REALID” license.  LA AFB requires this type of license. If the license says “Federal Limits Apply” it is not acceptable for LA AFB. Whereas this does not federally take effect until October 1, 2020, the Los Angeles Air Force base security instituted this requirement the beginning of June 1, 2018 (extended until Oct 10, 2018). See CA DMV website for more information: https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dmv/detail/pubs/newsrel/2018/2018_01

When renewing your license, you should specifically request a REAL ID driver license when making the DMV appointment and take the necessary required documents to the appointment.  Otherwise, a person will be issued the “Federal Limits Apply” license, which will not allow base access now and, after 1 Oct 2020, cannot be used as ID to board a commercial plane.

Upon entering the gate of LAAFB, you and your vehicle will be subject to search pursuant to the rules and regulations of LAAFB security personnel.  Additional information is located at http://www.losangeles.af.mil/securityforcesinfo.asp

If you DO have access to LAAFB:
To secure an available seat, please RSVP by 4PM on Tuesday, Mar 17, 2020.

Depending on our sponsors, we typically have 10-25 Government/Military seats available on a first come/first serve basis.
We may be able to offer a few open seats to walkins at 1200.
