Fifth Annual Cycling Event

To Benefit STEM Education

Join our sponsors for the Fifth Annual AFCEA Bicycling Event on Saturday, July 13, 2024.  Proceeds will benefit AFCEA-LA’s STEM education program.

  • On-site registration opens at 8:00 A.M. The ride starts at 9:00 A.M. in Redondo Beach on N. Harbor Dr and Portofino Way.
  • This year there will be three rides – 20, 40 and 65 miles. The 20 and 40-mile rides will follow the Marvin Braude Bike Trail to Temescal Canyon parking area. The 65 miler will include a Palos Verdes route.
  • Helmets required.  Rentals available at Marina Bike Rentals, 505 N. Harbor Dr, Redondo Beach, 310.318.2453.
  • Enjoy three supported rest stops – at Marina Del Rey, the Temescal Canyon parking area, and the Wayfarers Chapel on Palos Verdes. In addition to the rest stops, there will be SAG support. Registered riders will receive an AFCEA STEM jersey.

  • All proceeds will support Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education through scholarships. This year, there is an additional way to support this organization – through a direct donation link on the AFCEA website.
